There are three ways to download data
Download a slice of data: under heatmap mode, click on the carrot menu triangle, download just the data from the column.
Bulk download a whole dataset: use Explore Data to navigate to the dataset of your interest, where a download button and the download url link is in the page
Bulk download the entire release from AWS S3 bucket
ucsc-public-main-xena-hub (requester-pay enabled)
tcga-xena-hub (requester-pay enabled)
icgc-xena-hub (requester-pay enabled)
toil-xena-hub (requester-pay enabled)
What do you need for bulk downloading from a S3 bucket
Amazon S3 command line tools
What and Why “requester-pay enabled”?
You pay for the cost of transferring the data from xena S3 to your computer outside AWS. Transferring data within AWS is free. For more information: http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3/latest/dev/RequesterPaysBuckets.html . Our grant funding support storing and making high-quality cancer genomics data freely available to anyone. However, we can not afford providing free data transfer out of S3 for your consumption (cost is $90 per 1TB). We currently continue to monitor the cost associated with providing high-quality cancer genomics data, we will re-evaluate our decision on free vs requester-pay, and on which bucket(s) is requester-pay enabled.
